What YOU believe or DON'T believe has NO REAL EFFECT on HOW "I" live MY life .... Seems like the 'reverse' about ME and YOU should be similar? ....

If beliefs were private, I agree it would make no difference. But organized religion is all about telling people how to live.

HOWEVER< their MEMBERS or NON MEMBERS of society can EITHER FOLLOW them or NOT ....
When YOU say they are TELLING you HOW to live, so what? .... IF that IS TRUE, HOW does that 'statement' PREVENT you from living YOUR live as YOU see fit? .... Q: WHOM is FORCING you to LIVE OTHER than YOU WANT to live? .... the KEY word being FORCE ....
Just like YOU and ATHEISTS can "TELL ME HOW TO BELIEVE" or not ... I can HEAR you/that and CHOOSE to DO what I feel BEST for ME ... AGREE? ....
ADS on t.v. TELL US what to EAT, READ, SEE, WATCH, etc. etc. etc ... The SEXY girl beside the CAR is telling me WHAT to BUY ... "I" can choose to buy or NOT buy it or ANYTHING or ANY BELIEF(S) ... make sense? ....
So, I simply do NOT buy/understand it when anyone 'claims' that OTHERS TELL them HOW they "MUST" live .... MUST and FORCING are TWO, DISTINCT issues as this DUMB old man sees such 'statements' ....
Methinks CHRISTIANS and ATHEISTS should STOP 'arguing' about PERSONAL views and LIVE LIFE as THEY see it .... To EACH their OWN I say .... SMILES ....

There are countless examples of religious people getting benefits or influencing laws on the basis of their beliefs, I am not talking about opinions or telling people that they are wrong, I am talking about direct influence of how people live.
The examples I have given you are just the ones from western countries, it is much MUCH worse in Islamic countries where people can get stoned to death on the basis of nothing more than a couple of words on a page.
