Here is a link to Christopher Hitchens article (one of his last) in the Atlantic, which questions the "moral heroism of India’s most revered figure." [link] The article, in my opinion, does a very good job of criticizing some of the social norms surrounding Gandhi.
I don't care a what people believe, I care about their religion. Take a look at any days news from America and you are GUARANTEED to see something about religious rights or oppression. Just take a look at gay marriage. What possible reason is there to not let gays marry-apart from religious ones?
