On the theme of religion, I would like to point out that picking a religion is more likely to land you in heaven then none at all, because if you believe atheism then instead of a 1/however many chance you have 0 chance. See pascal's wager.
On Pascal's wager I would say that actually, picking a religion and getting it wrong is more likely to get you into Hell. At least with atheism there is no chance of being tortured for all eternity. Please take a look at the following image for a better understanding of what I mean. [link]
Further I would contend that any person who chose a religion solely on Pascal's wager wouldn't get into heaven anyway. You are certainly not going to fool the gatekeeper of heaven that you genuinely believed.
Why couldn't they choose a different, more accepting and less violent religion to spread around instead of Christianity? Like Buddhism. I don't know about you but i'd take Buddhism over Christianity any day.
Absolutely, although Buddhism has its own problems. For example the life lived by people under the rule of the Dalai Lama before he got kicked out of his country by the Chinese was terrible.
