Or these?

I tell you what, go to google, type in "faith healers child", and take a moment to look through the results. Hell go on google and type in "Dies while trying to live on sunlight" and take a look at the pure stupidity that comes up.

Religious zealots are perfectly capable of dying while praying for fish, and never think otherwise.

Don’t switch themes.
You were speaking about fishing so was I.
Also, majority of the links you kindly supplied are about the same case, there was no need really to double them up; with all respect to Lenin, quantity not always turns to quality.

In fact here is your list, all of these children had EASILY treatable conditions that could have been cured with quickly available medical care.

[link] Russel and Brandi Bellew, let their child die.

[link] Herbert and Catherine Schaibles let TWO children die.

[link] JaLea and Greg Swezey let their child die.

[link] Dale and Shannon Hickman let their child die.

[link] Carl and Raylene Worthington let their child die.

[link] Jeffrey and Marci Beagley let their child die.

I could easily go on, but here is a study from 1998 that shows that in families that use faith healing in lieu of medical treatment, out of 172 child deaths, 140 of them had more than a 90% survival rate if they were given conventional medical treatment. Eighteen more had expected survival rates of >50%. All but 3 of the remainder would likely have had some benefit from clinical help.

LoL so you are saying that the links I gave you have no relationship with the discussion we had? That you cannot see the similarity between dying while praying for fish or letting your child die while praying for a cure? Sorry, who is trying to switch themes?

Yes I apologize, I doubled up ONCE, if you really want I can find MANY other cases, I'll give you an itemized list if that is what you want.

They illustrate my point beautifully, which is, religious people are FULLY CAPABLE OF DYING WHILE PRAYING FOR FISH. This is a fact, one that has plenty of data backing it up.

I think the third part was an add on to the original saying. I only really used it because I loved the picture and couldn't think of anything better. I think it worked out OK though :)

It depends on what religion. Christians would die praying for a fish. In my religion, we don't rely on our Lord to do things for us. We know that we are capable and He encourages us to do things for ourselves.

That`s weird. I`m a Christian and still alive.

Tell me, wice guy, when exactly do I die because of my religion?

It's a metaphor. It's not meant to be taken literally.

Fair enough. I could also ask that question in it's metaphor-meaning; what downsides is there to be a Christian like me?

I was referring to the quote in this deviation. I don't mean any offense, but just saying that many religions don't move on from routines, so they don't seem to ascend anywhere.

So why do you believe in him if you do it all yourself? It just seems like having a dog and barking yourself.

It's more of a parenting kind of concept. We are guided by the gods we believe in, then learn to fend for ourselves (in a spiritual sense.)

I think i understand but i don't share the belief, if we were meant to worship then why do we need to be taught to believe? We are born with the ability to suck, sleep, shit, piss, cry and very little else. I'm not saying there is no god, but he, she, it or they missed a trick by not hardwiring us.
