To elucidate a bit, the total population of America in 2006 is estimated at about 300,000,000-750 out of 300 million is a very small number, so the chance of anything like this ever happening is TINY.

Further 95% of all (known) child abuse crimes are committed by family or friends of family.

My purpose in this was to show that the church is NOT a moral organization, and most certainly should not be viewed as such.

The purpose of this meme is NOT to scaremonger, there is no doubt that the danger of child abuse is VERY real and should certainly be considered by all parents, but you should not be paralyzed by fear.

I took the figures for Penn and Teller's bullshit episode "Stranger Danger" which can be found here [link] It is something a lot of parents should watch.

Knowing that Penn and Teller don't always get it right, I have checked up on the figures myself and they do appear to be accurate.

Damn straight. Also.... everyone should watch most of Penn & Teller; Bullshit. Sure, there have been a few cases where they were *considered* to be wrong, but most of the stuff they present is completely logical and educational.

It's still laughable that these people continue to think they are the most moral beings, when in fact, everything they do and say is a complete contradiction of their own teachings, thus by their standards, they are completely immoral. Well, by any reasonable persons standards, actually.

I really hope so. I think they're having their big freak out because they know it's on it's way out. I just hope it happens in my lifetime. I want to see the day when we finally break free from the chains of religion, and we can evolve and progress freely as a society.
